Fashion retail expert Yasmin Sewell began her Creative Consultancy in 2008. The agency provides trend forecasting, product and buying strategies and overall brand direction for companies internationally.
Yasmin is reputed for championing important brands of today such as Acne and Rick Owens. Retail bastions such as Liberty of London and Brown’s have drawn on her expertise to implement their very own reinvention.
The consultancy’s first project has been for the iconic Liberty department store which needed a complete new way to look at retail; bringing in new and exciting product, redesigning the interiors, working on the team structure and making the stores overall aesthetic and reputation aspirational once again. Yasmin brought in 70 new designers, changed the buying strategy and pioneered the press office to make it ‘the’ place to shop in London – in August 2009 amid a global recession Liberty reported its biggest half-yearly profit for over 10 years.
At 21 years of age, Yasmin opened boutique Yasmin Cho - a bespoke private retail environment which showcased her discoveries. Yasmin created an Aladdin’s cave of almost 50 undiscovered designers. Yasmin Cho was listed as one of the 5 most influential boutiques in the world by the New York Times.
In 2005-2008 as Buying Director of Browns London she proved once again her talent to predict trends and launch covetable designers such as mega talented Christopher Kane and Marios Schwab.
Yasmin is also currently presenting on Simon Fuller’s brand new project Fashionair, is a regular features contributor to Elle UK and is involved with the British Fashion Council where she consults on its mentoring programs & works with young designers.
